What it’s like to work in our Trust

We are delighted to share with you valuable information on the benefits of working with us, our culture, and our unwavering commitment to our staff’s wellbeing.

To help give you a better understanding of what it’s like to work within our Trust, we have included several short videos throughout this website featuring our staff members and volunteers who share their authentic first-hand experiences of working with us. We hope that these videos and the text below will give you a picture of what we stand for and how we support our employees.

The benefits of working with us

We understand that our employees are our greatest asset, and we are dedicated to providing them with benefits that include a professional development process and continued professional development opportunities, access to online training and supporting nationally recognised qualifications through the Apprenticeship Levy as well as competitive salaries, generous annual leave, recognition of continuous service and access to the Employee Assistance Programme.

We also recognise the importance of work-life balance and offer flexible working arrangements, including part-time and job-sharing options as well as internal opportunities to support employees to have better working lives. Our commitment to our employees’ wellbeing extends to offering individual support and counseling services through our Employee Assistance Program and a supportive work environment that fosters teamwork, open communication, and recognition for a job well done. We believe that by investing in our employees’ professional and personal growth, we are investing in the future of our pupils and our community as a whole.

We are supported in our school with high quality staff CPD especially in areas to improve our use of digital technology as we aspire to be the leading digital provider within our Trust. We are further encouraged to join local networks and funded to join National Associations.

Our culture

Our culture is founded on the principles of co-operative values, where everyone works together to achieve a common goal. We are committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that celebrates diversity, and we value and respect the contributions of each team member.

Our leadership teams encourage an open-door policy and welcome staff feedback, creating an atmosphere of trust, respect, and collaboration. Our employees work together as a cohesive team throughout our Trust, sharing best practices and collaborating on projects to deliver the best outcomes for our Pupils.

Wellbeing

We recognise that a healthy work-life balance is essential to our employees’ overall wellbeing which is why our trust supports schools to develop their own local wellbeing initiatives, identifying need and delivering formal and informal solutions that work in their context.

We understand that life can sometimes be unpredictable, which is why we provide our staff with 24/7 access to the Education Support Partnership. This confidential service offers our employees support with various issues, including mental health, financial concerns, and work-related stress, ensuring that they always have access to the help they need. At Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust, we prioritise the wellbeing of our employees, recognising that a happy and healthy team is essential to achieving our shared goals.
